Ingredients for Vegetable Chow Mein
- Chow Mein Noodles - 2 Cups
- Cabbage - 1 Cup (Green, Purple)
- Mushroom - 1/2 Cup
- Carrots - 1/2 Cup
- Bell Pepper - 1/2 Cup (Green, yellow, red)
- Onion - 1
- Green Beans - 1/2 Cup
- Garlic - 1 tsp
- Ginger - 1 tsp
- Green Chilies - 2
- Chili Sauce - 1 tsp
- Tomao Sauce - 1 tsp
- Soy Sauce - 3 tsp
- Vinegar - 1 tsp
- Cornstarch - 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Sesame Oil
Preparation of Vegetable Chow Mein Recipe
First chop all the vegetable (length wise).
Take a large pan. Add water, salt and noodles. Cook the noodles and turn off the flame.
Strain the water and wash the cooked noodles in cold water. Add 1 tsp of oil mix them and keep it aside.
Heat 2 tsp of oil in pan and chopped green chilies, ginger and garlic. Saute them until garlic turn golden brown.
Add finely chopped onions and saute them well for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add chopped mushrooms and green beans. Cook them for a minute.
Then add all other vegetables (Bell peppers, Cabbages, Carrots). Mix everything well. Cook for another minute.
Add soy sauce, tomato sauce and chili sauce. Stir them well.
Cook them for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame until the raw smell goes off.
Now add pepper powder and salt. Mix them well.
In a bowl mix cornstarch and water. Then add this corn starch to the mixture and mix them again.
Finally add the cooked noodles and vinegar, turn the flame to high. Mix and toss them well with the vegetables.
Turn off the flame and transfer to a serving plate.
A Chinese special "Vegetable Chow Mein" is ready for tasting.
