Ingredients for Thinai Adai
- Thinai - 1 Cup
- Red Gram Dal - 1 tblsp
- Bengal Gram Dal - 1 tblsp
- Dry Red Chillies - 3
- Grated Coconut - 1/2 Cup
- Urad Dal - 2 tblsp
- Asafoetida Powder - 1/2 tsp
Preparation of Thinai Adai Recipe
Wash the thinai, red gram dal, bengal gram dal and urad dal.
Soak the thinai, red gram dal, bengal gram dal and urad dal for 2 to 3 hours.
Grind them along with dry red chillies and enough water to make a smooth paste (Adai batter consistency).
Add grated coconut and salt. Mix them well.
Take a dosa tava.
Pour adai batter and spread it with ladle to make a circle.
Transfer the hot adai to a serving plate. Serve with hot sambar and chutney.
