Ingredients for Rajma Sundal
- Rajma / Kidney beans - 1 Cup
- Dry Red Chilli - 2 to 3
- Grated Coconut - 2 to 3 tblsp
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
- Urad Dal - 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Asafoetida - A Pinch
Preparation of Rajma Sundal Recipe
First clean and soak the rajma over night.
After 6 to 7 hours drain the soaked rajma and pressure cook it with salt and water for 2 to 4 whistle.
Heat a pan and add tsp of oil.
Add mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. Wait for 2 to 4 sec.
Now add dry red chillies and asafoetida. Fry them for 10 to 15 sec.
Then add the cooked rajma and salt to taste.
Mix them and saute for 5 minutes in low flame.
Turn off the flame and add fresh grated coconut.
Transfer to a serving plate.
