Ingredients for Onion Uttapam
- Large Onion - 2 (Finely Chopped)
- Small Onion - 1/2 Cup (Sliced)
- Green Chilies - 1 or 2 (Finely Chopped)
- Carrot - 3 to 4 tsp
- Coriander - 2 tsp
- Rice Batter - 2 Cup
- Salt - As Needed
Preparation of Onion Uttapam Recipe
Take 2 cups of batter in a large bowl.
Add finely chopped big onions and finely chopped green chillies and mix them well.
Heat a thava with one tsp of oil.
Keep the flame in ,medium.
Spoon 1 or 1&1/2 ladle full of the onion mixed batter in hot dosa thava.
Now sprinkle the sliced small onions, chopped carrots and coriander.
Apply another tsp of oil.
Allow it to cook for 2 minutes.
Then flip the uttapam and allow it to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes in low flame.
When the uttapam turn golden brown turn off the flame.
