Ingredients for Onion Samosa
- All Purpose Flour - 1 Cup
- Oil - 2 tblsp
- Onion - 3 to 4 (Chopped lengthwise)
- Cumin Seeds- 1/4 tsp
- Fennel Seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - As Needed
- Amchur Powder - 1/2 tsp
Preparation of Onion Samosa Recipe
Take a bowl. Add all purpose flour, 2 tblsp of oil and salt. Mix them.
Add little water and mix the dough.
Keep adding water and mix them. So that the dough becomes soft (Consistency of chappathi dough).
Cover with clean wet cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes.
Take a pan and heat 2 tsp of oil.
Add the cumin seeds, fennel seeds and chopped onions. Saute the until the onion becomes trasulant.
Then add garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder and salt.
Stir them and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
Add chopped coriander leaves mix them and turn of the flame.
Allow the onion mixture to cool to room temperature.
Now divide the dough into small balls.
Take 1 dough ball and roll into round sheet. Cut them to half.
Now take 1 half of rolled dough and make it as a cone.
Fill the cone with 2 spoons of onion mixture.
Apply some oil on third side of cone and seal the cone.
Take a pan and heat oil.
Deep fry the samosa and cook them for few minutes until it becomes golden brown. Cook on medium flame.
Strain the extra oil and transfer to a serving plate.

Tips - Onion Samosa
We can add the finely or grated cabbage while cooking onion for getting a different taste.
Serve the hot onion samosa with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
