Ingredients for Mysore Bonda

  • Urad Dal - 1/2 Cup
  • Rice Flour - 1 tblsp
  • Grated Coconut - 2 tblsp
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Hing - A Pinch
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil - 2 tblsp

Preparation of Mysore Bonda Recipe

First soak the urad dal for 5 to 7 hours or overnight.

Drain the water completely and grind it to make a smooth batter with very little water.

In a bowl, pour the urad dal batter.

Add rice flour, grated coconut, crushed pepper, hing, salt, finely chopped green chillies and curry leaves.

Mix them well.

Take a pan and heat oil for deep frying the bondas.

Take a small portion of batter and make it to round in shape and put it into the hot oil.

Fry the bonda utill it turns crispy and golden brown.

Transfer to serving bowl or plate.

Crispy and tasty snacks recipe, Mysore Bonda is ready.

Tips - Mysore Bonda

If you wish add finely chopped ginger for more taste.

Do not add excess water, if you add extra water the bonda will absorb oil.

Serve the hot crispy mysore bonda with coconut chutney.
