Ingredients for Mutter Paneer
- Paneer - 2 to 3 Cups (Cubed)
- Green Peas / Mutter - 1 Cup
- Chilli Powder - 1 to 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
- Kasuri Methi - 1 tsp
- Butter - 2 tsp
- Onions - 1 Cup(Chopped)
- Tomatoes- 1
- Ginger and Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Cashewnuts - 2 tsp
- Salt - As Needed
Preparation of Mutter Paneer Recipe
Boil the green peas and keep aside.
Grind the onions separately.
Take the tomatoes and grind them separately
Grind the cashewnuts.
Heat the oil or butter in a pan and fry the cubed paneers and keep aside.
Take a pan and heat a tsp of butter.
When the butter melts, add the onion paste and stir them well till the onion paste turns golden brown.
Now add the Ginger, Garlic Paste and saute them till the raw smell goes off.
Add the tomato paste to the mixture and saute them well.
Now, add the powders one by one (Chilli powder, Cumin powder, Garam Masala and Coriander powder) and saute them well.
Then, add the cashewnut paste and salt to taste and mix well.
Add water to it and mix well till the mixture turn thick.
When the whole mixture cooks well and oil got separates add the cooked green peas and cook them for 1 to 2 minutes.
Finally add the fried paneer and cook them for another 2 to 3 minutes till the paneer absorbs the masala well.
Garnish with coriander leaves
Our tasty "Mutter Paneer", is ready to be served hot.
Tips - Mutter Paneer Recipe
We can add a tsp of cornfloor water for a thick paneer masala.
Mutter paneer will taste great with parathas, naans, pulao, ghee rice, fried rice etc.,
