Kashmiri Pulao

"Kashmiri Pulao", is a special sweeter pulao which is very easy to make. It will be a best suitable dish for celebration.

Ingredients for Kashmiri Pulao

  • Basmati Rice - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Saffron - a Pinch
  • Big Onion - 1
  • Jeera Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon - 3
  • Cloves - 2
  • Cardamom - 1 to 2
  • Pomegranate - 1/4 cup chopped
  • Pomegranate - 1/4 cup chopped
  • Cashews - 1tsp
  • Almonds - 1tsp
  • Dry Grapes - 1 tsp
  • Oil
  • Salt

Preparation of Kashmiri Pulao Recipe

First wash the rice and soak it for 30 minutes.

Take a bowl and soak a pinch of saffron in 2 tsp of milk and keep aside.

Take a pan and heat 2 tsp of ghee.

Add Cinnamon, Cinnamon, Cardamom and saute them well till they get splutter.

Then drain and add the rice and saute them for 3 to 5 minutes.

Add the saffron soaked in milk, 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup water.

Add salt for taste and mix them well.

 

Cover with lid and cook them until the rice got cooked well.

Once the rice got ready turn off the flame and keep aside.

Take another pan and heat 1 tsp of ghee.

Add cashews, almonds and dry grapes and saute them till they turn to golden brown and keep aside.

Take another pan and heat 1 tsp of oil and chopped onions.

Saute the onions until they turn golden brown.

Then add the cooked rice, fried cashews.

Turn off the flame and dry grapes and mix well.

Finally add the chopped fruits (pineapple and pomegranate) and 1 tsp of jeera powder and mix them.

Our easiest and tasty "Kashmiri Pulao" is ready to be severed hot.

Tips - Kashmiri Pulao Recipe

While serving garnish with fried onions and cashews.

We can make a spicy kuruma as side dish.
