Ingredients for Kara Sev
- Gram Flour - 1 Cup
- Rice Flour - 1 Cup
- Pepper Powder - 2 tblsp
- Cunim Seeds - 1 tsp (Crushed)
- Butter - 1 tblsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Preparation of Kara Sev Recipe
Take a bowl and add gram flour, rice flour, pepper powder, crushed cumin seeds, asafoetida and salt.
Add 1 tblsp of butter and mix them.
Now add enough water and mix them to make a soft dough.
Take a muruku maker and fill it with a small portion of dough we made.
Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
Press the muruku on the hot oil. Press a large circle around the pan. Don't make layers like we make for muruku.
In medium flame cook them until it turns golden brown. Similarly turn to other side cook. Both sides should got cooked well and turns to golden brown.
Transfer to a plate or bowl and break roughly.
Once it cools store it in a air tight container.
A tasty and crispy "Kara Sev" is ready.
Tips - Kara Sev Recipe
Add crushed garlic for more flavor and taste.
Also we can add 1/2 tsp of red chili powder for more spicy and colorful snack.
