Ingredients for Making Paneer

  • Dairy Milk - 1 Liter
  • Lime Juice or Vinegar - 1 to 2 tsp

Preparation of Making Paneer at Home

Boil milk in a heavy bottomed vessel.

Stir the milk so that it should not gets burnt.

When the milk starts boiling add a tsp of lime juice.

Milk will start curdling.

When the milk curdled completely turn off the flame and drain the water(whey) using clean cotton cloth or cheese cloth or muslin.

Collect the cloth with the curdled milk and tie it tightly.

Place a plate and a heavy weight on top of the tied cloth.

Leave it for 30 to 40 minutes.

Once the paneer got set cut them to desired shape.

Place the paneer in air tight container and refrigerate them for using it later.

Our home made "Paneer" is ready.

Tips - Home Made Paneer

Instead of lime juice we can use curd or yogurt.

Paneer will stay good for 2 to 3 days if we refrigerate it properly.
