Ingredients for Papaya Halwa Navratri Sweet

  • Papaya - 1 (3 to 4 Cup Chopped)
  • Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Milk - 1 Cup
  • Cashewnuts
  • Dry Grapes
  • Ghee - 1/4 Cup
  • Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp

Preparation of Papaya Halwa Sweet Recipe

Wash and Peal off the papaya and chop them as small pieces.

Heat a tsp of ghee and fry the cashew nuts and dry grapes and keep aside.

Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat 3 tsps of ghee.

Now add the papayas and stir them well.

Stir the papayas till it mashes well.

Then add a cup of milk and mixes well till the papaya cooks well.

Saute them till the milk combines well with the papayas.

Now add a cup of sugar and stir them continuously.

The sugar will start to melt.

Stir them till the mixture gets thick and will gets halwa consistency.

Finally, add the fried cashewnuts and dry grapes.

Tips - Papaya Halwa Recipe

We can grind the papayas, so that it gets cooks well.

We can add 1/4 tsp of Cardamom Powder for more flavor.

Garnish the halwa with chopped almonds.
