Ingredients for Sabudana Kheer / Javvarisi Payasam Navaratri Sweet
- Sago / Sabudana - 1/2 Cup
- Sugar - 1/2 Cup
- Milk - 3 Cups
- Dry Grapes
- Ghee - 3 to 4 tsp
- Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Saffron - A Pinch
Preparation of Sabudana Kheer / Javvarisi Payasam Dessert Recipe
Wash the Sabudana well.
Heat 1/2 tsp of ghee and roast the sabudana for 3 minutes keep aside.
In same pan roast the cashewnuts and dry grapes for 1 minute and set aside.
Take a heavy bottomed pan and boil water and add the roasted sabudana to the water.
Allow the sabudana to get cooked till it gets soft and turn off the flame.
Take another vessel and heat 3 cups of milk in low flame till it gets thick.
Now, add 1/2 cup of sugar and stir it well it the sugar gets dissolves completely.
Then add the cooked sabudana and mix them well.
Cook them for another 3 to 5 minutes in low flame.
Add the crushed cardamom powder and turn off the flame.
Finally, add the fried cashewnuts and dry grapes and mix them.

Tips - Sabudana Kheer / Javvarisi Payasam Recipe
We can a pinch off saffron.
Add chopped almonds for more taste.
The payasam will gets thick, so that add 1/4 cup of milk while serving it.
