Ingredients for Gulab Jamun Sweet
- Paneer - 1 Cup
- Maida – 2 to 3 tsp
- Sugar - 1 to 2 cup
- Saffron - 1 pinch
- Water - 1 Cup
- Pistachios - As Needed
- Cardamom - 1
- Oil and salt - Needed
Preparation of Gulab Jamun Recipe
Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat water and add sugar.
When the sugar getting dissolves add a pinch of saffron and crushed cardamom.
Stir the sugar and water mixture and wait for 10 to 15 minutes till it gets thick.
When the sugar syrup got the thick consistency turn off the flame.
Now, take the home made paneer in a bowl and the maida and knead them well using your fingers.
Add a pinch of salt to taste.
Now, add Milk (or Water) little by little and mix them together to make a smooth dough and wait for 20 to 30 minutes.
Take a small portion of the mixture and make small balls.
Now heat the oil in high flame.
Once the oil got hot reduce the flame and put the Jamun balls in oil.
Fry the till the balls turn golden brown.
Add the fried Jamun balls in the warm sugar syrup and allow it to setle down for 3 to 4 hours till the jamun balls absorb the sugar syrup well.
Our deliciously tasty "Gulab Jamuns" are ready, garnish them with chopped Pistachios.
Tips - Gulab Jamun Sweet Recipe
Use only the home made paneer for most delicious taste.
The Jamuns dough should be soft don't give too much of pressure while making balls.
We can add rose essence for taste and color.
Don't over cook the Jamun balls.
