Ingredients for Mutton Chukka
- Mutton - 1/4 kg
- Small Onion - 1/4 Cup
- Garlic - 2 tsp
- Tomato - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander seeds powder - 1 to 2 tsp
- Thick Coconut milk - 2 tbsp(optional)
- Fennel Seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon - 1/4 inch piece
- Cloves - 2
- Ginger - 1 tsp
- Red chilli (dry) - 10 to 12
- Bayleaf - a small piece
- Curry leaves - few
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Salt - As Needed
Preparation of Mutton Chukka Recipe
Take a pressure cooker add the mutton, turmeric powder, one bay leaf and a cinnamon stick.
Pressure cook the mutton for 6 to 8 whistles until it gets soft.
Take the cooked mutton drain the water, keep the mutton stock.
Take a pan, add Fennel seeds, dry Red chilli , Coriander seeds, peppers.
Roast everything and grind them well as a dry powder.
Take Garlic, Ginger and grind them as paste.
Now, take a pan and add oil.
Add a cinnamon stick, Cloves and Curry leaves allow them to spluttered.
Now, add the small onions and saute them well till it turn golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes and ginger garlic paste and saute them well.
Then, add the cooked mutton to them and mix well.
Add the grounded powder and salt as needed.
Mix everything well till the raw smell goes off.
Cook them for 4 to 5 minutes in low flame and turn off.

Tips - Mutton Chukka Recipe
We can add coconut milk for different taste.
Use the mutton stock for making soup.
