Ingredients for Mutton Chops
- Mutton - 1/4 KG
- Small Onions - 8 to 10
- Coconut - 1/2 Cup
- Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
- Red Chilly Powder - 1 tblsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tblsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tblsp
- Ginger - 1/4 Inch
- Garlic Cloves - 4
- Cashwe Nuts - 15
- Cardamom - 1
- Cloves - 2
- Cinnamon - 1
- Poppy seeds - 1tsp
Preparation of Mutton Chops Recipe
First wash mutton pieces well.
Take 1/4 cup of coconut and grind it. Extract coconut milk from it.
In a blender, add 1/4 cup coconut, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, poppy seeds, cumin, ginger, garlic and fennel seeds.
Grind them to a smooth paste.
Take a pressure cooker. Add mutton pieces, turmeric powder, coconut masala and salt.
Add half coconut milk and water. Pressure cook them for 8 to 10 whistles.
Now take another pan and heat oil.
Add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom and cashew nut. Stir them for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add small onions and stir them well until the onion turns golden brown.
Add boiled mutton with masala and add remaining coconut milk.
Let the mutton chops cooks well till the oil comes out around the pan.
Hot and spicy, Mutton Chops is ready.
Tips - Mutton Chops
Garnish with onion slices and lemon slice while serving spicy mutton chops.
Add dry red chilies while grinding the coconut masala for more spicy recipe.
