Nimbu Pani

Its a Ramadan month. Let us learn how to make a traditional and energizing juice using lemon, "Nimbu Pani". Its also know as shikanji in north India and pakistan. It will be a best drink during fasting days.

Ingredients for Nimbu Pani

  • Lemon - 1
  • Sugar - As Needed
  • Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt or Black Salt
  • Water - 2 Cups
  • Ice Cubes
  • Mint leaves - 2 to 4

Preparation of Nimbu Pani Recipe

Take 2 cups of water in a bowl.

Cut the lemon into 2 and squeeze the juice into the water.

Then add sugar, salt and cumin powder. Mix everything well.

Transfer to a serving glass, add ice cubes and garnish with mint leaves.

Serve the fresh and energizing , "Nimbu Pani" drink, which is known as shikanji.

Tips - Nimbu Pani

Add rock salt if you are making for fasting like Iftar.

If needed we can refrigerate the drink before serving.
