Lassi

"Lassi" is a popular Punjabi beverage which can be made with different variations like masala lassi, salty lassi, etc.,. We are going to make sweet lassi. It will be a perfect refreshing drink for people in fasting.

Ingredients for Lassi

  • Fresh Thick Yogurt or Curd - 2 Cup
  • Sugar - 10 tblsp
  • Water - 2 Cups
  • Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
  • Saffron - A Pinch
  • Ice Cubes
  • Dry Fruits - 2 tblsp (Optional)

Preparation of Sweet Lassi Recipe

First crush the cardamom pods and remove the husk. Crush the cardamom seeds to make a fine powder and keep aside.

Take a big bowl and add 2 cups of fresh chilled yogurt or curd.

Mix them with a madani or wired whisk to make it smooth.

Once the curd got smooth add 10 tblsp of sugar and 2 cups of chilled water.

Then churn the madani so that everything we added should mix up well.

We should mix them until the sugar dissolves and a frothy layer forms the top.

Now add 1tsp of cardamom powder and a pinch of saffron. Mix them.

Add ice cubes and transfer to a serving glass and garnish with chopped dry fruits.

Refreshing and tasty chilled "Sweet Lassi" is ready.

Tips - Sweet Lassi

We can add chilled milk instead of water for more taste.

Instead of cardamon powder we can add 1 tsp of rose water for different flavor.

We can use blender instead of churning with madani.
