Sticky Date Pudding

Ingredients for Sticky Dates Pudding

  • Dates - 250 gms
  • Baking Soda - 1 tsp
  • Water - 2 Cups
  • Butter - 1 Cup
  • Brown Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp
  • Eggs - 2
  • All-Purpose Flour - 2 Cups

Ingredients for Caramel sauce

  • Brown Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Thick Cream - 300 ml
  • Vanilla Extract - 1/2 tsp
  • Butter - 1/2 Cup

Preparation of Sticky Date Pudding Recipe

First preheat the oven to 180 degree.

Take a cake base and grease it with butter.

Boil the water.

Take a bowl and add dates, baking soda and pour over the boiling water.Let it stand for 20 minutes.

Take another bowl add butter, sugar and vanilla extract and beat them.

Add Eggs 1 at a time and beat them well.

Then add and all purpose flour and beat them completely.

Add this flour and egg mixture to the dates mixture and mix it with large spoon.

Pour the date mixture to the cake base and spread them.

Bake it for 30 to 40 minutes.

Turn off the oven and convert the cake to plate.

To make a sauce, heat 2 tsp of butter in a pan.

Add brown sugar, vanilla extract and stir it occasionally.

In low flame and add cream.

Stir them in low flame until the sauce becomes thick.

Turn off the flame and allow it cool

Cut the dates pudding and spread some cream sauce over it.

Our delicious dessert "Sticky Date Pudding" is ready.

Tips - Sticky Date Pudding Recipe

Preferably we can use 8-inch square baking pan with 2 inches deep.
