Ingredients for Red Velvet Cake
- All-Purpose Flour - 2 and 1/2 Cup
- Baking Soda - 1 tsp
- Cocoa - 1 tsp
- Granulated Sugar - 1 and 1/2 Cup
- Eggs - 2
- Canola Oil - 1 and 1/2 Cup
- Vinegar - 1 tsp
- Red Food Coloring - 1 Ounce
- Vanilla - 1 tsp
- Buttermilk - 1 Cup
Cream Cheese Icing
- Margarine - 1/2 Cup
- Cream Cheese - 8 Ounce
- Confectioners Sugar - 1 Box
- Vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- Toasted Pecans - 1 Cup
Preparation of Red Velvet Cake Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease the cake pan.
Combine flour, backing soda and coco powder.
In a bowl, combine egg and sugar. Beat the well.
Take another bowl add canola oil, vinegar, vanilla essence and red food colors.
Add them to the beaten eggs and sugar mixture. Beat them again until everything combines well.
Now add the flour mixture and buttermilk.
Mix them to make a batter for cake.
Pour the cake batter on to the greased cake pan.
Bake the cake for 25 minutes. The cake should get bakes well.
Let the cake cools completely before icing.
For Icing, take a bowl and combine margarine, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and chopped toasted pecans. Beat them completely to make a fine cream.
Both Our cake and icing are ready. Just spread the icing over the cake with alternative layers.
