Ingredients for Mirchi Bajji
- Mirchi - 7 to 8
- Besan/Chickpea Flour - 2 Cups
- Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida - A Pinch
- Rice Flour - 1 tsp
- Salt - A pinch
Preparation of Mirchi Bajji Recipe
Take besan flour in a bowl.
Add chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, rice flour, asafoetida, salt.
Add water gradually and mix them. Make it as thcik batter.
Make 3 to 4 slits on the chillies that is mirchies.
Dip the mirchies in the batter. Make sure that the mirchies got coated well with the batter.
Take a pan and heat oil.
Deep fry the mirchies in oil till they turns to golden brown.
Transfer the hot bajji to a serving plate.
A crispy and spicy south Indian special "Mirchi Bajji" is ready.
Tips - Mirchi Bajji Recipe
We can add other vegetables like onions or banana or potatoes for variations.
Even we can make this using boiled eggs.
