Bread Pudding

We are going to know how to make a tempting dessert using old / left over breads. "Bread Pudding" is a heavenly tasty Italian special dessert.

Ingredients for Bread Pudding

  • Italian bread - 3 Cups (A day old)
  • Sugar - 2 Cups
  • Eggs - 5
  • Brown Sugar - 1/2 Cups
  • Milk - 2 Cups
  • Vanilla - 2 tsp
  • Butter - 1/4 Cup
  • Pecans - 1/2 Cup


  • Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Milk - 1 Cup
  • Eggs - 1
  • Vanilla - 2 tsp
  • Butter - 1/2 Cup

Preparation of Bread Pudding Recipe

Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a baking pan.

Take the one day old bread and cut them as cubes or any shape you wish.

Take a bowl. Add eggs and beat it well.

Add milk and sugar to the beaten egg. Beat them well again.

Then add vanilla extract and mix them.

Pour the mixture over the bread cubes.

Take another bowl. Add butter, brown sugar and chopped pecans. Mix them and keep aside.

Now pour the bread mixture on the baking greased pan.

Spread the brown sugar mixture over the bread.

Bake it for 30 to 40 minutes.< and remove from oven.


For Sauce

Take a large bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Beat them well.

Add Milk and vanilla extract Beat them again.

Then add the butter and beat them again until the mixture gets soft and fluffy.

Boil the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes and Remove from flame.

Bread Pudding with Sauce

Arrange the baked bread pudding on a serving bowl or plate.

Pour the warm sauce over the pudding.

Cool them to room temperature. Then refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Tips - Bread Pudding Recipe

We can add 1/2 a cup of brandy for some different taste.

Instead of fresh bread use left over old bread for good taste.
